Ferrule - ZEN 13411-3

Aluminium ferrules compliant with BS EN 13411-3 for rope slings compliant with BS EN 13414-1.

Special characteristics:

  • For wire ropes with a max. tensile strength of 1,960 N/mm2
  • Suitable for steel wire ropes compliant with EN 12385-4
  • Manufactured from seamless tubes according to BS EN 13411-3
  • Available in the sizes 2.5 - 60
  • Available in the sizes 1.0 - 2.0 outside of the standard
  • Finished with our cylindrical press dies with cutting edges

2 C ≤ 0,487 = Single layer round strand ropes with IWRC and rotation-resistant round strand ropes

3 0,487 < C ≤ 0,613 = Single layer round strand ropes with IWRC and rotation-resistant round strand ropes

4 C ≤0,613 = Spiral strands (2 Ferrules)

Remark: To convert the old fill factor f (DIN 3093) into the new metallic cross sectional area factor C (EN 13411-3) multiply f by 0,7854
